The Bad Sides of AI Ethics

Ethics is often perceived as too abstract, impractical, confusing, or overly complex. Yet, it is more important than ever. In this international and interdisciplinary project, we aim to systematically identify and better understand the gaps and limitations of current ethical approaches and methods in addressing AI-related challenges.

To foster collaboration between University of Zurich and University of Oxford, we will develop a project proposal  for the UZH Global Funding Scheme.

The aim of the successful application is to conduct focus groups with research from diverse disciplines and industry, to exploring negative attitudes and misconceptions, gaining a clearer understanding of the needs for AI ethics, novel approaches and communication strategies. The results will be also used to write a short collaborative publication.
