In this project, DSI researchers aim to develop a responsive and interactive digital tool «E-HUD» to support international organisations with ethically informed decision-making capacity regarding the use of drones in particular, and the promotion of value sensitive innovation in general.
Background
This project is the «spin-off» of an earlier study examining the ethical, legal and social implications of the humanitarian use of drones, which resulted in the Framework for the Ethics Assessment of Humanitarian Drones (FEAHD). The project is conceived in collaboration with leading humanitarian and development organisations. Project partners include World Health Organization (WHO), United Nations Children’s Fund (UNICEF), VillageReach, Medair, and the Geneva Science Policy Interface (GSPI). The project is funded by the DIZH Innovation Program.
